Musical concert on eve of Sankara Jayanthi will be performed by disciples of Dr. Chitra Madhavan on at 7.00 p.m at Sankara Gurukulam, Ramaswamy St., Abiramapuram. Sankara Navaraga Nava tala kritis composed by Chidambaram Svarna Venkatesa Dikshitar on this deity will be rendered.
These kritis were composed in1947 at the time of consecretion of this temple. These kritis were composed in a single day with nine ragas and nine talas including rare talas like Kanta Misra Chapu, Tisra Matyam , Druva talam and Jamba Talam. Open to all.
