Mylapore police have done some smart work to track down and arrest a woman who committed a crime at the busy Sai Baba Temple in Mylapore.
This woman from north Chennai had stolen a gold key chain that a woman devotee had kept momentarily on a ledge as she was about to pray here during a recent visit.
The victim was the mother of actor Vishal and resides in Anna Nagar. She filed a complaint with the Mylapore police, who then looked through the CCTV footage at this busy temple and located the criminal act.
The police then kept a close eye on people hanging around the temple and zeroed in on the accused when she was here. The CCTV image helped the police to nab the thief.
Police Commissioner George commended the quick and smart investigation of this case by the Mylapore team led by two Sub Inspectors.
