Mylapore hawker jumps out of Mandaveli hospital, dies

A Mylapore hawker jumped from a Mandaveli hospital and died on the spot on June 11 morning. Police said he took his life after he got disgusted with the medicines he had to consume for treatment of TB.

The hawker who sold pooja articles and such things near Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore and lived on Solaippan Street was being treated at a private hospital on Devanathan Street.

Police said that on Tuesday morning the man had gone out to have a cup of tea. He later went to the hospital, went up to the second floor and jumped on to the road. He died on the spot.

Abhiramapuram police are handling this case.
