San Thome lost in the final of the TN Cricket Association’s annual cricket tourney for under-16 players. The team lost to Don Bosco in the two day final played at the CPT ground in Taramani.
Don Bosco batted first and put up a big total – 325 for 9 wickets. Mylapore-resident Ferrario scored a century for DB and when day one ended, San Thome had lost a wicket too.
The second day saw the San Thome team plod its way through the tight bowling and could manage only 196 for 8 wickets. K. Ratnasabapathy made 48 runs and Aditya Barooah, 36 runs. M. Siddharth of DB took 5 wickets for 44 runs.
