A book on Tamil poems to be released

Malathi Subramanian, home-maker and resident of Abhiramapuram for nearly 40 years has been writing poems for almost 15 years. Her first book is titled ‘Varuvathai Erka Pazhakikol Maname’, topics like women empowerment, Barathiyar’s ‘pudhumai penn’, love, affection, compassion of a mother are the focus of the poems.

The book will be released by Anita Rathinam and the first copy will be received by Asok Mithiran. Malathi’s husband V. N. Subramanian has encouraged her to publish a collection of her poems on the occasion of their 40th anniversary. Published by Manimekalai Prasuram, the book release will take place during the ‘literary’ section of the program organised by Dignity Foundation’s Chennai Chapter.
