Chettinad Vidyashram, R. A. Puram celebrated its 29th annual sports meet on July 27. The chief guest, A. G. Ponn Manickavel, DIG, Idol wing CID, talked about the importance of sports in the all – round development of children.
The event started off with a march past by the school band, student leaders, cubs, scouts, the four houses and the sports teams. This was followed by a mass drill by the primary section, a western dance with unique wheel gymastics, a fusion dance and a yoga demonstration. Students then participated in track and other events.
