Convention of Small Christian Communities held in San Thome

An ‘Anbium Mahanadu’ was held at the San Thome School Montfort auditorium on Sunday last. This convention was of members of the ‘anbiums’ ( Small Christian Communities) of the Catholic church in the state. About 1500 people are said to have attended this convention which discussed issues concerning the church and the community, religious and social.

Continuous rains on the weekend discouraged a larger participation by the laity ( SCC members), said a volunteer.

This was a daylong event and at the finale, archbishop Rev. Dr. George Antonyswamy of the Madras-Mylapore diocese presided.
