As cyclone alert is put out, some areas go without power

MT RAIN SAIBABA ST

As the wind began to get strong and a cyclone warning was put out by the Met office, power supply went off in parts of San Thome on Sunday evening.

A resident of Custian Beach Road said he was unaware of the warning and assumed the power line was down because the winds may have created the power cut.

It has been raining since Sunday morning and some streets began to flood.

In some areas, avenue trees have been crashing down. But people say local police have responded quickly to get them moved out from roads/streets.
