The Marina now looks like it is a bed of small ponds and lakes. Following the heavy rain this past week, floods water has accumulated in low-lying zones of the beach – in the area near the Light House and Gandhi statue.
The water has brought with it the waste that is disposed of by beach goers and hawkers and is dirty.
Ravaged hawker stalls also lie on the sands now.
