The Vipanchee Art Festival will be inaugurated by Dr. Ambika Kameshwar, founder-director, RASA in the presence of musicologist – Dr. B. M. Sundaram and K. N. Ramaswamy – director, Bhavans, Chennai Kendra at R. K. Swamy Auditorium, Mylapore on Dec 25. The festival will go on till Dec 31.
The seven day event will feature performances by the disciples of gurus Balagurunathan and Gayatri Balagurunathan, A. Lakshmanaswamy, Malathi Thothadri, Padma Raghavan and several others. On the last day, an award function will be held with vocalist Sudha Raghunathan as the chief guest. Several titles and awards will be given to noted artistes. For details call 9840119039.
