Play based on Carnatic music composers gets full house

“We must tell the stories about our great composers for people want to know more about them even if there is some fiction in them.”

That is what former Madras High Court judge and writer Prabha Sridevan said at the curtain call of yet another stage performance of ‘Trinity’, the P C Ramakrishna directed play based on some life episodes of three great Carnatic music composers – Thyagaraja, Dikshitar and Shyama Sastri.

The Madras Players production staged at the Bhavans in Mylapore on Friday evening had a full house and cheers for its key actors – vocalists Dr S. Sunder, Gayatri Venkatraghavan and Vijay Siva.
