Lectures on poromboke spaces, issues

A two-day Poromboke Lecture-Festival is being presented by Chennai Kalai Theru Vizha on October 12 and 13 at Curio Play, Alwarpet.

The Poromboke Lec-Fest will have four lecture-demonstration sessions featuring experiential experts that work with poromboke spaces and economies.

The Lec-Fest has twin objectives: of upending the notion that intellectual expertise resides only within formal academic institutions, and to expose people to different ways of knowing, states a note from the organiser.

“Poromboke Ketta Varthaya?”, a shadow puppet theatre performance  by B. Muthuchandran Tholpavai-k-koothu Troupe, is scheduled on October 12.

Open to all.
