The five day teppam festival of Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple in Mylapore began on January 24 evening, Friday.
Since there is no water in the Chitrakulam – the tank of this temple, the temple authorities have created a symbolic tank around the central mantapam inside the Chitrakulam and filled it with water.
The float was symbolically moved inside this man-made tank of water.
The environs of the Chitrakulam have been illuminated for this event.
