San Thome resident who tested virus positive is fully recovered, says Chennai Corporation official

The 65-year-old virus-positive man who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai has fully recovered and is back to his home in San Thome. The man tested positive for the virus in mid-March after he came back from New Zealand.

Says a Sanitary Inspector, who manages the containment activities in San Thome, “A few days ago, the virus-positive man was discharged from the private hospital after his three consecutive samples tested negative for the virus. He is now fully recovered and is back to his house in San Thome, ” he says.

However, his house continues to be under home quarantine. “We are constantly monitoring the health of the 65-year-old and his family.” Meanwhile, the containment exercise that started after this person tested virus-positive is still on in this zone.
