To boost the immunity of people living in the containment zones, civic workers have started distributing nilavembu kudineer and kabasura kudineer, a herbal concoction to all families here.
Said a Chennai Corporation’s nurse who works in the San Thome containment zone, “We have started distributing nilavembu kudineer and kabasura kudineer packs to all families in San Thome containment zone. We are also instructing them to drink it regularly.”
The distribution of herbal concoction will shortly begin at containment zones on Appu Street and South Trustpakkam Street, she said.
The concoction packs are distributed under the ‘Arogyam’ scheme launched by the Tamil Nadu government. The government has said that the concoction is only to boost immunity and is not a cure for COVID-19.
