Mylapore police start returning seized vehicles

Mylapore police have started returning seized vehicles stationed at its premises to the respective vehicle owners.

Since the past few weeks, the police have been seizing vehicles, mostly two-wheelers of those violating the lockdown rules.

Says traffic police attached to the Mylapore Police Station, Kutchery Road, “We have returned some 10 vehicles that were seized before March 31st. The vehicles were released after issuing a strict warning to the owners. A fine of Rs.500 was also collected from them.”

“However, around 100 two-wheelers that were seized by us after April 1 are yet to be returned. They are now stationed at the backside of Mylapore Police station. We will return them once we receive orders from our higher authorities,” he says.
