Though a very densely habited colony, Visalakshi Gardens which lies between Warren Road and the Buckingham Canal in Mylapore was unaffected by the virus.
But now it has got its first case.
A 50 year old man who is now in a hospital; he checked positive last week. The house has been barricaded.
There is an unconfirmed report by a local resident whose maid lives in this colony that a woman too has contracted the illness.
Around the lockdown, there was one non resident man who flew back here and was to be quarantined in the colony but he did not test positive.
