Music fest has to be curtailed. Just one event this evening.

Cultural events planned some days ago with the hope the pandemic would ease have again been curtailed as restrictions fall in place now.

The Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam in Mylapore curated a long programme to mark its 254th jayanthi celebration of saint-composer Thyagaraja but has cut it down to just one, to be held this evening 5 p.m. onwards.

Awards are to be presented to a few senior artistes here and then, vocalist Nithyashree Mahadevan is scheduled to perform.

SOPs are to be followed by guests and rasikas who are to attend this event.
