Postwoman at work, during lockdown hours

The lockdown was in place. The time – about 11;30 a.m. Thursday morning.

In one of the streets of Mandavelipakkam, on her feet was this woman in khaki uniform. A postwoman, fully protected and walking to do her job on a hot summer morning.

All post offices now work limited hours because of limited staff; services are also limited. And strict rules are in place for people using the office.

But letters, ordinary and SpeedPost are being delivered, though delayed a bit.
