Soccer: Missing all the excitement and fun

By M. Manasa

P. S. Senior Secondary School Girls Under 19 football team – the team which won CBSE National championships in the year 2019-2020 and also won the South Zone championships for eight consecutive years.
Even though I was in the Under 17 team I felt proud being part of the school squad. I am still able to recall that glorious moment as if it happened a few seconds ago.
During this pandemic there have not been frequent practicing sessions, and we as players are trying our best to keep fit.
Our coaches give us a monthly schedule with a set of exercises after which we are supposed to update. At this time, we’re losing a chance to represent our school team. We are lacking the experience of being on the field, taking with us many feelings like pressure, excitement and perseverance.
I miss going for daily coaching sessions and then enjoying snacks with my teammates while travelling in the school bus.
Anyway, now let’s be a little un-emotional and laugh for a few puns. Why can’t Cinderella play soccer?Because she always runs away from the ball.

What did the determined soccer ball say?

I’m very goal-oriented.

What can I say, I am a ‘soccer’ for puns
