Recalling filmstar Ajith’s birthday parties in Mandaveli

May 2, 2018

As film actor Ajith celebrated his 47th birthday on May 1 and his fans plastered some walls of the city with birthday wishes, a couple of his friends in Mandaveli had time to recall the actor’s times in this neighbourhood.

1990s. Ajith lived in an apartment in west Mandaveli; he was not yet a big star yet but popular and had fan clubs. And on one birthday, his place was packed with fans and a fun party went on and on.

His neighbourhood friends say that Ajith enjoyed life like the boy-next-door; checking out the popular food carts in the Mylapore neighbourhood and heading south for go-kart racing, a passion.

All this came to an end after his marriage and his move to Valmiki Nagar where he now resides.
