Manakkal S. Rangarajan is a senior Carnatic music vocalist, known for his own style of Carnatic music. Speed and perfect mathematical calculations marked his concerts in his prime days.

It is said that when he used to practise in his bungalow on Royapettah High Road, Mylapore, poeple used to stand in the bus stand close by to listen to him sing.
