A band of people are mapping the disposal and clearance of garbage in the areas of MRC Nagar, Karapagam Avenue and Greenways Road (Pasupon Muthuramalingam Road).
NGOs like Transparency Chennai and members of the Lok Satta party have joined hands with some residents here to under this assignment.
It is on for 10 days now. Teams work from 8 to 10 am, mostly on weekends.
However, there is a need for more residents-volunteers to hasten this project.
The intent of this project is to map this civic issue in this Corporation ward and then devise ways to improve the provision of bins, segregation, collection and disposal.
