Natyarangam (Dance Wing of Narada Gana Sabha Trust) is presenting its annual dance festival titled Bhoopaala Bharatham – (Kings as Protectors of the Land and People) Sunday onwards.
This 17th thematic dance festival is held at the Sathguru Gnanananda Hall, TTK Road from July 28 to August 2, 2013
Inauguration is by Dr. Meena Muthiah, Kumara Rani of Chettinad.at 5.15 pm. R. Krishnamoorthy, president, Narada Gana Sabha, presides Guru Sudharani Raghupathy will be honoured.
Every evening, a themed dance production is presented. This is preceded by a short talk by a scholar or specialist on the subject of the day to be presented in dance form. Each duo on stage was provided with a resource person to help flesh out and choreograph the recital.
The recitals are open to all.
