Christians will observe November 2, Saturday as All Souls Day. A day to pray for the departed in their families.
All local churches have scheduled special prayers during the daily Holy Mass.
Besides, there are special services that evening at two local cemeteries – the Chennai Corporation Cemetery on St Mary’s Road, R A Puram which is managed by the St Lazarus Church and the Quibble Island Cemetery on Dr DGS Dhinakaran Road in R A Puram.
Here, priests will say Holy Mass and bless the graves.
People will be visiting the cemeteries that day to pray at the graves of their family members.
