Chess trainer’s workshop held at Alwarpet

Emmanuel Chess Centre recently organised a three-day chess trainer’s workshop at the Russian Cultural Centre, Alwarpet. The training covered topics such as foundational principles of chess and child psychology.

One of the participants, software engineer Srinivasan Sivakumar who is recovering from a brain injury believes that chess impacts life and plans to train children from underprivileged backgrounds.

Level 1 trainers can train under the supervision of senior trainers at the centre for higher levels of certification. The 2nd level of the chess trainer’s workshop will be held from June 2 – 4.
