A colourful ther procession on Sunday highlighted the annual Chithirai festival celebration which is on at Sri Karaneeswarar Temple in Mylapore.
The festival started on May 4 and ends on Wednesday when the grand ThiruKalyanam ceremony will be held from about 8.30 p.m. onwards.
A series of concerts have been also organised at the temple till May 24 at 6 p.m. everyday. Highlights include a talk by Shivashri Kapali Vaidyanatha Gurukkal on May 17 and a keyboard performance by S.Sivaganeshan on May 25. Ph: 24985112.
