About 17 schools participated at the 22nd Maharaja Sri Vijayarama Gajapathi volleyball tournament held at Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School, Mylapore on July 11. The event was inaugurated by Dr. S. Chinnammai, Dept of Economics, University of Madras and D. Vijayashree, founder and executive trustee of Srimatha Cancer Care.
M. Sreedhar, advocate and legal consultant and K. N. Ramaswamy, director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan were the chief guests. The rolling trophy which was won by Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar School carried a cash prize of Rs. 4000. Certificates and medals were also distributed to the winners. Ph: 24641513
