The city Mayor Saidai Duraiswamy made a symbolic gesture of handing over laptops of senior students at the Chennai School managed by the civic body in Alwarpet. This is part of the state’s ongoing scheme for students. The laptops are given free.
Senior students at this school on Bheemana Gardens St., near the Abhiramapuram police station will be given the laptops in phases Monday onwards at the school.
Similar events have been held at other local schools recently.
