Carnatica and Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha are jointly presenting a “Bhakthi Sangeet Utsav” from Aug 2 – 5 at Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Mylapore, 4 p.m. onwards. The event will be inaugurated on Aug 2 by Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji. He will deliver the anugrahabhashanam on the importance of bhakti in music.
The chief guest is V. V. Sundaram and the guest of honour is former Solicitor General of India, Mohan Parasaran. Mallika Ravi, CEO of Lancor Holdings will light the kuthuvilakku. Highlights include thematic concerts by O. S. Arun, Priya Sisters, Ganapathy Tukaram Maharaj, Trichur Brothers and B. Suchitra. Entry is free for all rasikas.
