Student council elections held at Calibre Academy

CALIBRE ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PIC ONE

Student council elections were conducted by Calibre Academy International School, Mylapore on July 7. Students from classes III to XII participated in the voting process. Polling booths were managed by student volunteers and teachers.

The candidates were asked to vote for realistic positions like the president, prime minister, opposition leader, culture minister, discipline minister and so on.  Each candidate was given a symbol which was printed on the ballot paper. Students were then asked to circle their choice and place it in the ballot boxes. Indelible ink was used to mark the index fingers of the excited voters.

Dhruv Tripathi from class X and Smrithi Sundar from class IX were elected as the president and prime minister respectively. An investiture ceremony to honour the leaders will be held soon.
