Workshops in Mylapore this week

On now in the Mylapore neighbourhood are a series of workshops, check them out below –


    On August 23 at Alwarpet, a workshop led by Corrie Mathiowetz will lead a practice that will focus on how to improve run performance through the power of yoga. The fee is Rs. 2000 and begins at 5 p.m. Since more people in the city are signing up for upcoming marathons, this could be useful to them, according to the teachers. At 136.1 Yoga Studio, 329, T. T.     On August 24 at Mylapore, ‘The art of making Belgium style chocolates’ will be taught. The tempering process will be explained through a live demo using moulds.     Curious about Japanese food but non-vegetarian food is not an option? Here’s your chance to learn to cook eight varieties of vegetarian sushi with sticky rice and vegetables. Three types of rolling techniques will be taught. On August 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alwarpet. Ph: 9962048088.


    On September 6, the Mylapore Trio will be organising the ‘Navarathri Golu Paddhathi’ holistic workshop for the 11th year. The lec-dem will focus on aesthetics, arrangements, decorations, themes, kolam, packing and preservation. The entry fee is Rs. 100 per participant.
