There are only a few more registrations open to Mylaporeans who wish to take part in the newspaper’s Kolu Contest. Since there was a flood of registrations on Saturday last and though the deadline is Sept.22, Monday the organizers may have to close the registration when it touches 75.
This is because the logistics of this contest is tough and the host wants it to be a smooth affair. A videographer will visit the houses on any of the days later this week – on Friday, Saturday or Sunday to shoot a quick visual clip of the kolu. A shortlist will be made by the judge who will then visit the homes of people on that list.
The prize distribution is on Oct.4, Saturday at Arkay Centre, Luz. A video of the kolas of all participants wil be screened.
