Tourists can now watch short film on saint Thomas at cathedral

MT THOMAS FILMThe priests at San Thome Cathedral are making small improvements at the basilica’s campus to enhance the experience for tourists and visitors. They are now arranging screenings of a short film on saint Thomas, who is believed to have stayed and preached here and whose body was buried here after he was killed at a place on St Thomas Mount.

The film is screened in the small auditorium in the saint’s tomb complex at the rear of the cathedral. It is screened four times a day at intervals and special shows are arranged for groups on request.

Efforts are also being made to post guides who can communicate in a few foreign languages. Catholic volunteers who are keen may contact the parish priest Fr. Mathias.
