A special Devaki shrine (mother of Lord Krishna) will be opened for women and girls at the Nandalala Temple, Mylapore on Sep 14, 8.30 a.m. onwards and it will remain open for 45 days only. The inauguration will be followed by a session of garba, dandiya, kolattam and kummi dances. In the evening at 7 p.m., a celebration consisting of a rajbhog – a special naivedyam of more than 101 items, a Panchajanya seva and a deepa aradhanai has been organised. At Ranga Road, Mylapore.
