Kartik Fine Arts is conducting its 40th art festival from Dec 1 – Jan 6. The event will be inaugurated on Dec 1 at Narada Gana Sabha at 6 p.m. The guest of honour is H. Raja, national secretary, BJP. L. Sabaretnam, chairman of Karthik Fine Arts presides.
A performance ‘Vana Viraata Vijayam’ – by students of Bharathanjali with music and lyrics by Neyveli Santhanagopalan and P. R. Venkatasubramanian will follow the inauguration.
The following titles and awards will be presented: ‘Isai Peroli’ to vocalist S. Saketharaman, ‘Nadanamamani’ to dancer Anwesha Das, D. K. Pattamal award of excellence to vocalist Akshay Padmanabhan and ‘Kartik Rajagopal Golden Jubilee Committee Award’ for best cultural organizer to Dr. R. Seetharaman. At T. T. K Road, Alwarpet.
