A free arthritis camp was organised by R. A. Puram Residents Association (RAPRA) and Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet at Raja Muthiah School, R. A. Puram on Apr 4. 80 patients were screened for bone and joint disorders. Some of them were also given free X – rays and blood tests.
The camp was followed by a presentation on ‘How to take care of bones and joints’ by Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, director and HOD, Orthopaedics, Kauvery Hospital. The importance of regular walking to prevent osteoporosis was highlighted.
