Dyslexic student from Mylapore gets top score at Class X exams

VigneshVignesh. V, (seen in the picture) a resident of Mylapore and a dyslexic student with learning difficulties, recently scored a total of 334 out of 400 at the Class X state board exams held recently. Vignesh is a student of Samruthaa Vidyashram, Mylapore.

Samruthaa Vidyashram, a school for dropouts and slow learners, is run by R. Vijayalakshmi. Started by her in 1990 with just six students from the Mylapore area, the school now has more than 30 students.

She helps class X and XII students (CBSE and Matriculation) learn the concepts and gets them ready for the board exams. She also brings out the special talents of these students by organising science expositions and other programmes. Several schools have sent their under performers to her and she has not disappointed them.
