Nine venues will host International Yoga Day events

Several groups in the Mylapore area are organising events to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21.

KRISHNAMACHARYA YOGA MANDIRAM – Day long programmes include free yoga sessions at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., a special session for senior citizens at 11 a.m., lectures, workshops and more. At 31, 4th Cross Street, R. K. Nagar.

ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGASHALA – Yoga practice will be held in the morning at 7 a.m. At 29, 6th Main Road, 2nd Floor,

APJ YOGA FOUNDATION – Programmes like indoor/outdoor yoga practice, debate, yoga food preparation, annadhanam and more have been planned. At 27, 2nd Floor, Sundareswarar Street, Mylapore, 5 a.m. onwards.

AKSHARA VIDYHA TRUST – Talk by Swamini Sathyavratananda followed by yogic

At LUZ HOUSE, Luz there is a free yoga sessions at this heritage mansion handled by the famed  guru Divya Rolla. From 7 am for 90mins. Open to all. This place is b behind the petrol station opp. Sastri Hall.

The R A PURAM Residents’ Association Trust (RAPRA)  will be celebrating International Yoga day at Puthu Kovil complex, First Cross Road, R.A.Puram on June 21. There is  community practice of Suryanamaskar, yoga and  meditation under the direct guidance of Dr. Hema Rajan a senior yoga teacher. There will also be talks and discussions on yoga poses and asanas. The programme will start at 10 a.m.. All are welcome. For information contact 9841030040
