St. Mary’s Road residents complain of water pollution

Residents on a  section of St Mary’s Road say that the water pollution in lines to their houses is making them fall ill and messing up their daily life.

Resident V. N. Subramanian says this pollution, obviously of sewage mixing with plain water is felt in houses on St Mary’s Road ( door numbers 189, 189 A) in R A Puram neighbourhood for the past 10 days. He said the local Metrowater unit was alerted but it needed a call to the MD to get them to act.

The staff examined the issue and said there is a problem. They promised action, he adds.


He said on Thursday that men were at work to address the issue.
