“Uma, Not-So-Perfect”, written by 14 year old author Yamini Prashanth was launched recently at Odyssey Book Store, Adyar. Yamini is a student of class X at Vidya Mandir, Mylapore. The book focuses on the experiences of Uma Patel, at her new school in London.
Yamini already has a few books to her credit – “Mishti”, a children’s novel, which was published in 2013. Yamini wrote “Mishti” when she was 11 years old. Her second book, “Best of Granny stories”, is a collection of 20 stories for 6 to 8 year old kids. Yamini also became one of the youngest TEDx speakers of India, when she participated at TEDX at the Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai.
