Yoga, dances and a mime marks Gowrin Special School’s annual day

Gowrin Special School - annual day celebrationsThere was a flurry of activity at Dakshinamurthy auditorium at P. S. School, Mylapore on Aug 19 evening. Several students of Gowrin Special School had gathered there to celebrate their annual day, an event they had been practising for and looking forward to for a few months now.

While a few students were seen practising their routines, others were seen listening to their teacher’s instructions. When it was time to finally put up their show, the audience was left spellbound.

Everything was perfect – their yoga postures, dance performances and a mime held to discourage too much phone usage. A fancy dress show too was held with the students dressed up as national leaders.

The school is run by physiotherapist S. Sibi and is located at 63/40, Lazarus Church Road, Mandavelipakkam. Ph: 9840017571, 9789918539.
