A fortnight-long Veena Festival was inaugurated at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet on Friday evening.
The main guests included arts promoter Sabaretnam and head of The Music Academy, N. Murali.
There are 3/4 veena concerts every evening, more on the weekends, in the sabha’s mini hall on this campus.
Festival curator B. Kannan says that this year, a record number of veena artistes have been featured at the fest.

The concerts are free and open to all.
