Mangai started her tailoring unit 16 years ago, as a small venture in Mandaveli. With a degree in fashion designing and years of experience as an instructor of tailoring and embroidery, this was the next step to converting her passion into a living.
Now, she has opened her boutique, Boutique Kalpavrikksha, where she showcases clothes of her own design.
Kurtis, salwars, palazzo pants in regular sizes are on the shelves now. ‘We have a lot of clothing material. You can walk in, pick up a material and we can make it into any garment’, says Mangai.
