Sujatha’s ‘ Anthem for Environment’ to be unveiled; March 6 morning

Arts scholar and writer Sujatha Vijayaraghavan is unveiling a song that addresses the community’s environment. at a function at C P Art Centre, Alwarpet.

This event is on March 6, 11 am. The guests are former CBI head, R K Raghavan and Exnora founder, M B Nirmal. (Exnora is a NGO focussed on community-driven action on civic issues).

Sujatha has revived a song she wrote in 1991 for the Alwarpet Exnora unit to highlight the importance of safeguarding the environment.

‘Anthem for the Evironment’, in six languages including Thamizh, English and Hindi is now on the Web, made possible by Swathi Soft Solutions. You get to watch the film and listen to the song.

It has been sung by two groups of children ( guided by Sudha Raja in Chennai and Sumitra Nitin in Bengaluru) is available as a free download and provides you a transliteration too.
