Devotees of a local temple participated in a paal kudam procession early today morning (April 14) to mark the first day of the Tamil month of Chitirai.
Women and young girls carrying 108 milk pots walked from Mundagakannai Amman Temple to Kadambadi Amman Temple at Apparswamy Koil Street, Mylapore.
The milk in the kumkum and turmeric smeared pots was used to perform an abhishekam for the deity at Kadambadi Amman Temple.
