A series of burglaries have been keeping the Mylapore police busy this past month. According to the police, as many as seven incidents of theft were reported in Abhiramapuram, R. A. Puram, Pattinapakkam and Mylapore inone month.
The gang of robbers, who targeted houses partitioned into several smaller tenements, would enter the portions on the pretext of visiting friends. CCTV footage from one house led to the arrest of two Mylaporeans, Manikandan and Veeramani. Two more are at large.
