The Senior Citizens group of Besant Nagar celebrated the opening of their Mylapore chapter during the first week of October by distributing walking sticks to the elderly at Viveks, Luz.
More than sixty seniors attended the programme. The guests at the event were Mylapore MLA R. Nataraj and CMD of Viveks B. A. Kodandaraman. Both the guests talked about Gandhian values and the need to revive values like truth, compassion and simple living.
