Neighbourhood police confirm that at least three cases of snatching of cellphones by thieves took place on Tuesday in this neighbourhood.
In all cases, the suers were speaking on their phones in public spaces when they were snatched.
One case was reported from C. P. Ramaswamy Road in Alwarpet; a executive in a private firm lost his phone. Another case was reported from Mundagakannai Amman Temple, Mylapore.
The third is said to be towards the Royapettah side of the neighbourhood.
