Staff of local units of Chennai Corporation have been attending to calls since Monday morning following reports of falling trees and dipping wires that the overnight thundershower caused.
This morning, the civic workers were clearing an avenue tree that collapsed on Bazaar Road, Mylapore.
Some inner streets were flooded with rainwater – these do not seem to have proper SWDs.
